The Women and Child Health Program at Abu Dhabi Public Health Center (ADPHC) is a comprehensive initiative that promotes the health, well-being, and empowerment of women, children, and families across every stage of life.

The program focuses on prevention, awareness, and early intervention to ensure that women are supported before, during, and after pregnancy, and that every child has the best possible start in life.

It emphasizes the importance of women’s health literacy and reproductive well-being by providing families with clear, evidence-based information about fertility, menstrual health, pregnancy, postpartum care, and menopause. By raising awareness and encouraging early health-seeking behavior, the program helps women make informed choices that support long-term wellness for themselves and their families.

In line with Abu Dhabi’s commitment to family health, the program also provides education and support for mothers throughout the maternal journey from preconception and antenatal care to safe delivery and postnatal follow-up.

Parents receive guidance on newborn screening, growth monitoring, nutrition, and developmental milestones to help every child reach their full potential. Through these initiatives, the program ensures that both mother and child receive holistic care that is preventive, continuous, and compassionate.

Recognizing that emotional health is an integral part of physical well-being, the program promotes mental health awareness among women, parents, and children. It focuses on building resilience, encouraging stress management, and fostering positive family dynamics that contribute to a healthy and balanced life.

Collaboration lies at the heart of the Women and Child Health Program. The initiative works closely with partners and stakeholders across the emirate to design and deliver unified, culturally sensitive interventions that reflect community needs and support Abu Dhabi’s Public Health Strategy. These partnerships strengthen collective efforts to build a healthier, more inclusive, and family-friendly society.

Through continuous education, community engagement, and data driven planning, the program stands as a cornerstone in advancing women’s and children’s health in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi ensuring that every woman is empowered, every child is nurtured, and every family thrives.
