CHECK

WHAT
REALLY
MATTERS

Colorectal cancer awareness ribbon

We spend countless hours checking our social media, messages, and outfits. But how often do we check what truly matters?

Colorectal cancer is preventable. Because it often shows no early symptoms, screening is recommended for men and women aged 40-75 years, even if you feel healthy. Detecting symptoms early can greatly increase the chances of prevention and successful treatment.

Your health matters. Awareness and prevention of colorectal cancer can help protect you and your loved ones.

Know About Colorectal Cancer

Bowel Structure and Function

Colon, also known as bowel or the large intestine, is a muscular tube about 1.5 meter and 6 cm in diameter located in the abdomen at the end portion of human digestive tract. The colon absorbs water and minerals from the indigestible food.

What is Colorectal Cancer?

Colorectal cancer is a tumor that develops when abnormal cells grow in the colon or rectum. It often begins as a benign polyp, a small growth on the lining of the colon or rectum, which can slowly change over time. In some cases, it may take 10-15 years for a polyp to develop into cancer.
